Unit Secretary/Nurse Technician will work under the supervision of registered nurse, assist in the delivery of age specific patient care, assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care. The successful candidate has to maintain a safe and clean environment and promote the efficiency of the nursing team. The incumbent will support direct patient care activities by performing clerical and receptionist functions and communicate with all persons involved in unit operations. Candidate is actively involved in the therapeutic milieu and treatment planning. Support system and nursing strategic plans, relationship based care and shared leadership.
Requirements
Successful completion of Nursing Assistant training program. Meet requirements to practice as a certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Maryland. Must successfully complete Unit Secretary course and Nursing Tech course offered by SHS.
Education
High school graduate or equivalent.
