Responsibilities
Position is on Eastern Shore in Cambridge, MD.
Utilization Management Coordinator assures compliance with licensing agencies (JCAHO, COMAR, HIPAA, Federal/State, etc) and conducts pre-authorizations as needed for patient stay; obtains authorizations for all related services; works closely with finance tracking of accurate patient census information.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a clinical degree such as nursing, social work, psychology, health information management or in another related healthcare field is preferred, or equivalent related experience.
