Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers - Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences - Maintain a clean and organized bar area - Check customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age - Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately - Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner - Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption - Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food orders for customers seated at the bar - Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant, banquet, or catering setting is preferred - Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for cash handling purposes - Familiarity with the food industry and hospitality standards - Ability to handle multiple drink orders efficiently during busy periods - Strong communication and customer service skills - Proficient in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks according to recipes or customer preferences - Understanding of proper food handling procedures when preparing garnishes or serving snacks Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
