Overview SESI's Behavior Support Team is committed to developing, implementing, evaluating, and constantly improving our multi-tiered positive behavioral intervention and support system.
Our model, named the CASE approach (the acronym for our behavioral expectations of being considerate, accountable, safe, and engaged), supports the behavioral and social-emotional needs of all SESI students.
The Behavior and Academic Support Staff works closely with SESI leadership at the site level to build behavioral and academic competency and capacity through training, coaching, and evaluating CASE implementation for the classroom team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Teacher in Training include (but are not limited to):
Learning to coordinate support of all behavioral and academic initiatives (e.
g.
, all tiers of CASE support, crisis prevention, social-emotional learning) with site-based leadership.
Working closely with site staff (especially identified point people) to build capacity for sustained, consistent, and high-quality implementation of all behavioral and academic supports.
Participating in all behavioral and academic data collection activities as required to inform targeted support, yearly site-based evaluations, and internal and external outcome reporting.
Other duties assigned as needed.
Education/Experience Required:
Undergraduate degree in relevant field.
Demonstrated commitment to the four keys to the CASE:
being proactive and preventive, being supportive and helpful in all interactions, focusing on what's going well, and building strong relationships with students.
Demonstrated commitment to the FullBloom Core Four values:
humility, transparency, accountability, and decisiveness.
Preferred:
Masters' degree in relevant field.
ABA experience (3 or more years) Experience serving students with challenging behavior.
Experience or demonstrated potential to deliver and implement academic and behavioral supports, and support a staff team.
